Message I've said this once before and the concept was favored by many others so I think it has collective acceptance:

The stage upgrade chart is not just a recommended order for modification to optimize the performance improvement a given part will offer, but it is also derived from two additional elements of Z ownership.

1) Driver Capability: Consider this for a moment; you take a person that has only driven a few different cars producing under 400RWHP and then put them into a car that makes over twice that with a completely different power/torque curve. While this person will be able to adapt to the differences over time, the experience will not offer all of the small variations in between to build a more "rounded" set of driver skills. The upgrade path from stage~5 to a setup capable of optimizing a set of turbos you are entertaining leaves out all of the really important bits inbetween.

2) Interest Longevity. It would be fair to say that one main reason you have even modified your Z in the first place ultimately comes down to satisfying the need to fill the spaces in time of your life with something you enjoy doing. You, like the rest of us here, have chosen to do so through the experience of owning a Z. :) Enjoying the ownership and enjoying being a member of the Z community is not dependent on how many Z's make less power than yours. Bragging rights are shallow and short-lived - and if that is your goal, so too will be the duration of time you will enjoy what you have chosen to do for that satisfying element you sought after in the first place.

Enjoy the Z, Enjoy ownership, and enjoy the stages - there are only so many of them and once you are through, as has been seen time and time again, the thrill will fade and you'll be seeking for something else to fill those spaces in time. Right now you have before you the potential for enjoying something that will last for many, many years. You have the possibility of learning and experiencing many varieties of which will offer more satisfaction to you than you can imagine right now. Dont cut yourself short on these things - take it a step at a time and enjoy the full experience....
